Iamsu Sincerely Yours Zip

re-listening to some of su’s past work is a privilege and one i take advantage of whenever i can, and as usual, iamsu is not lacking in that department. million dollar afro (his breakout album) was one of those unique hip-hop albums that i would hear on the radio and cry out “this is the best album i’ve ever heard!”. to me, the hbk gang crew have always been an example of what hip-hop can be. theyre not fake. theyre not afraid to make music. people of all different races, classes, sexualities, genders and religions, iamsu! and crew give fans a perspective of the people doing the music. on the same token, its nice to know that iamsu! has musically given back to the community -even if it was at his expense.

what i want to know is, how much has iamsu given back to his community? it is a simple question and the answer is a simple one-a whole lot. su was recently nominated for a fellowship from california-based thirteenth connection and the money they received from his sales goes towards arts and cultural organizations and government affairs.

in any event, iamsu! is clearly a respected and loved member of the community -a welcome sight that would go a long way in reducing the disparity between the races in the bay area. the level of respect su is held by those in the hip hop industry and the community is truly something to behold. but more important, su has brought the community together with his music. this isnt a rap phenomenon – this is a community phenomenon. su’s music illuminates the hip hop community in a way that no other artist is doing right now. even its not as unique as it may seem. hip hop has been going through a renaissance of new, talented and progressive rappers for a few years now, but no one has ever been doing it the way su is. su has been on a media tour, releasing mixtapes, singles and making appearances like nothing in the industry before.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) August 22, 2016 — Grammy Award winning Wiz Khalifa, Wiz Khalifa (who was the first rapper to top the Billboard Hot 100 with two consecutive platinum-selling albums), Iamsu and Charles Bradley, one of contemporary music’s most sought-after voices, are all featured on the soundtrack album of Kicks, a new film from filmmaker Justin Tipping and Focus World Pictures. Kicks tells the story of Brandon Niederschlag, a young man who finds a wad of cash while attending a party one night and starts making plans to buy a house with the money. If youre familiar with Iamsu!s music, you know hes one of the most critically acclaimed, commercially successful, and prolific artists in modern music. With his platinum selling E-40 (Funk You Up), Wiz Khalifa (Bout Me), 2 Chainz (Livin), Justin Bieber (What Do You Mean), B.o.B (I Got Her),Wiz Khalifa (Bout Me), and more, hes not a rapper; hes a superstar.
