I have tried to compile and run my scripts on ABAQUS 6.10-1; on a Mac I am using Xcode (v8.2.1); on a Windows machine I am using Visual Studio 2015 Update 4. I always get the following error message:”Intel Visual Fortran Compiler Professional Edition for Windows”. During the installation an error occurs when I try to configure C compiler:”a C compiler was not found”. Here I have used all the different methods for installing GCC: from the command line (gcc), from the Xcode integrated developer environment (CC), from the Windows command line (nmake install.cmd), from the installation disc (msun-v120.iso) or directly from Intel website. All my installation of these compiler are perfect, but when I try to run my scripts in ABAQUS I get this error message. Do you have an idea or a solution to my problem? I have tested many different combinations of both, C and Fortran compilers for the Microsoft compilers and for the GCC. I tried to remove and install all the compilers (including the updated versions of XCode, to have some other C compiler) I have the same problem.
If you have a license for Intel Visual Fortran Professional Edition, your license entitles you to install and use Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) Drivers for Intel Core processors. If you do not see Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) Drivers as available to you at the Intel Software Development Products Registration Center, log in to the Intel Software Development Products Registration Center, select My Registrations, locate and select your Intel Visual Fortran Professional Edition license and click Resend license file to my email address. Download and installation of the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) Drivers is separate – please refer to that component’s Installation Guide and/or Release Notes for details.
If you have a license for Intel Visual Fortran Professional Edition, your license entitles you to install and use Intel Math Kernel Library. Download and installation of the Intel Math Kernel Library is separate – please refer to that component’s Installation Guide and/or Release Notes for details.
The Intel Math Kernel Library must be installed in the directory listed in the Intel Visual Fortran Professional Edition license to match the installation path of the Intel Visual Fortran Professional Edition product.
The compiler is capable of reading and generating Fortran 77, DIGITAL Fortran 77, DIGITAL UNIX Fortran 77, DIGITAL UNIX Fortran 90 and DIGITAL Fortran 90. The compiler can be used to generate assemblies that support C and C++ program. The DIGITAL FORTRAN 90 compiler cannot work with the DIGITAL FORTRAN 77 language.
The Intel Visual Fortran Compiler is not an integrated C or C++ compiler – it uses the existing compilers for support. There are no additional file preparation steps for C or C++ support. The Intel Visual Fortran compiler is a stand-alone Fortran compiler.
The compiler supports the Fortran 90 standards for interoperability with a wide variety of compilers. The compiler can compile a wide variety of Fortran source files that conform to the Fortran 90 standard. The compiler has been tested with SGI, Silicon Graphics, HP/UX, IBM, Sun, Linux, OSF/1, DEC/Alpha and various small UNIX vendors.
